Goth Metal

I've been quite enjoying working on this webpage. In particular, I have been enjoying working while listening to the Goth Metal stations on the internet I found through Winamp.Ya know, ya just don't hear this stuff on broadcast radio around here. Hehehe, I suspect it has influenced a lot of the look of the site.

The Goth Metal formula seems pretty straightforward. Start with a couple of Scändinavian chicks wailing away about a Presence on the Møør over some spooky church chords. Then a guy with a strong German accent sings about something from the Lord of The Rings I think. Finaly the drums and guitars come crashing in signaling ultimate DOOM.

Hehehe, don't get me wrong I really like this style and am going to have to look into the scene and pick up some albums. One of the things I really like about this genre is the amount of drama. I am a big Metal fan, but I just don't get a lot of what's popular now. Tunes start off with a nonstop double-bass, the singer has the mike half-way down his throat, and the guitar player is flogging his excessivly detuned guitar with a blunt instrument.

Meh.

I'am all for dissonance but ya need a little balance too.

Live At Last !

Welcome!

To Twitchkiller.com, my own little corner of the internet.

I thought it would be fun to write my opinions on various subjects, particularly Computer Gaming since that is one of my hobbies. I am not going to be doing "reviews" since those have already been done by folks with more patience and organization than myself ! No, I am just gonna write my opinions and impressions.

I haven't tinkered with web pages for a few years now so I am going to be doing some catching up as I go along

So welcome to My Nightmare and Y'all come back now Y' hear ? :)
